I bought a Jeep last night and it had been sitting out behind the guys house for awhile and it has pine sap all over it and i mean all over it! I've heard that WD-40 works really good for getting it off but i'm scared that will eat through the paint. Any suggestions??

You can use Simple Green if you make sure its well diluted and don't let it sit on the paint. Use a old spray bottle or go get some. That will make your life easier as you can spray an area, scrub/wipe it, and rinse with the hose. Good luck!

there is a bug/sap remover at autopart stores, or you can use goof off i think w/o screwing up your paint, just have to wait it later

WD-40 will not mess up your paint. It's a lubricant, not a solvent. But to set your mind at ease, make sure you wash the affected area and put some wax on it after you get the sap off.

a jeep eh? take it up daniel, let the rocks scrape off the tree sap.

Take it DOWN Daniel on a rainy day then it will look like mine, i dont think the tree sap wouldve survived, but my Jeep did. Just a few battle scars, but chicks dig scars right

cosmoline, take it from a former detailer, call M&H distibuters @ 336-724-7951 and get a gallon, wet a microfiber towell with it and it will be no more, or you can use a clay bar some glass cleaner with amonia, works great:huggy:
