I keep my jetski in my apartment complex. It is parked in a normal car parking spot and the office allows it. There are plenty of boats and jetskis in the parking lot. Since a jetski is very light and a single person can move the trailer...someone has been moving my jet ski when they cant find a spot. This happens everynight bc its very hard to find a spot in my complex if u get there past 10pm. It seems like no one is messing with it and everything is alright, but plain and simple I dont want people moving my stuff. Some people have two cars and take two spots and they dont have their cars moved. So i have a jet ski and I use two spots...dont move my crap if im allowed to have it there. Also, it could get hit by a car if its not on a spot.

Is there anything I can do or buy to make my trailer immovable? Tongiht I left my Jeep parked in the spot behind it and my winch hooked up to the jetskis ski hook...but if they know anything about a winch they can disconnect it and I dont want to have to do that every night.

fugging shoot em'... or wait for them one night and then "politely" tell them that it's not theirs so don't F'n touch it again.

I would use something like "The Club" through the wheel or wheels to keep it from rolling. Lock it down and they may leave it alone. Or you could wrap the tongue in razor wire! ;)

ill shoot them and buy a house. Naw, its hard to ask them politely bc it may be more than one person and its hard to catch who it is. Taking my tire off would work, but I pretty much use it 3 maybe 4 times a week, so thatd be a pain in the ass...maybe they sell a mini boot like the one parking nazis have on campus

just stay up one night and catch them!!!
when you see them run out side with a golf club, base ball bat, AK-47, ya know its not to hard to stop it you just gotta use force!!!!!

I would do the same thing but the first time some one did that I would stop

just scare the poop out of them

or get their car towed and place your sea-doo back where it belongs

or get a bike lock and run it threw the spokes of you wheels! That way they can only move it about 6in before the wheels lock up

if it was me I would personaly drag their car out of MY spot with my jeep and make sure they saw me do it then place my sea-doo back in its place

dont let people step all over you man be the boss and take back what is yours

put a chain around the holes in the wheel and some part of the deck on the trailer. It will probably make it alot harder to move if the tires don't roll.

They make those trailer tire jacks that you wedge around your axle drive forward and it puts one side of the trailer in the air.. buy one of those and put a tire in the air, if you make it a pain in the ass to move they wont do it, or you could do what we did at the boat shop, take an old truck rim, weld a flat piece of steel on one side, to seal that side of the rim up, set the rim on the newly welded metal, weld a pipe coming out of the hub of the rim, about 3ft long, then fill the rim with cement, weld a trailer hitch ball to the end of the pipe, hook your trailer to it, and use a hitch lock.. I will draw a pic of what i am talking about and attach it later if you arnt following me...

Here is what i was talking about

A very large amount of positive voltage, and a convienent path to ground.

anchor the trailer to the jeep with a cable lock if the wheel lock doesn't work.

I think you really need to find the person or leave a note.

If you do something to make it difficult to move (chain, boot, etc.) some ass hat will probably cut your tires, or seat or something just to be a prick.

Had the exact same problem with my JS when in college.

Bought a cooler full of cheap beer, invited a few friends over (hey guys free beer!) and waited. I had a nice conversation with a drunk young man....Wait this story doesnt end right for you, it involves 2 of my friends scraping up $350 for bail...but my JS NEVER got touched again

hell yeah! shock the shit out of them. I have seen this happen first hand to a friends car. Someone had a key and would move it. They would use the Key to get into the car. He took it somewhere and had the metal that goes around the key opening set up with electricity. He also had a siren set up to go off when the key touched it. I use to have a video of this and will try to find it. It was great to watch over and over.

Find a spot next to a storm drain, you know the kind where the cover has bars on it. Put a chain around one of the bars and your trailer and lock it.

You might be able to file a police report for vandalism or something. I'm sure there's a law against messing with other people's property. That way, if it happens again, you can just call the police and have them investigate, and let them talk to the person doing it.

Since bolt cutters large enough to snip the average chain are only $20 at TSC/HF/NH... go with the high strand count bike cables (Kryptonite, etc). Almost impossible to cut with bolt cutters or hacksaw... a battery powered saw w/ cutoff can make short work of such a cable. Granted, most of the nimrods looking for a parking space probably don't carry that equipment... just the thieving bastards wanting to TAKE your jetski permanently!

thanks for all the suggestions. I am going to try the chain and frame thing just because they are obviously not tryin to steal it and they prolly wont bother with a chain. I have been very tempted to drag their car out, last night it was a red jetta, but would I be liable if I ruined their transmission by dragging it? or what if it got hit by another car since I obviously woudlnt leave it in a spot...it would teach them a lesson tho.

I dont necessarily want to yell at them or harm them...because whoever is doing it it probably nice. Some days I have even found my jetski on a different spot...so it seems like the guy moves it at night, leaves the trailer next to the curb, gets up in the morning and moves the jetski to whatever spot is open. If I saw them, I would probably politely ask them not to but I just have no time to stay up and wait...my days consist of school, gym, and lsat preparation. I wouldnt really be bothered, but theres something about ppl touching my shit that bothers me...also if left next to a curb some car backing up is likely to hit it.

ps i woudl love to see the video of the guy getting shocked
