I'm the same way, EVERYTHING is in caps. Cursive is difficult for me now that I've been not using it for over 30 years.

He came back to the table my mom was at and she asked him about the name, it was in cursive and he confessed he couldn't read cursive. She said to him I understand my Grandon (my son) can't read it because they didn't teach it in school now, but he you are the about the same age as me. He said well when he was skipping grades they skipped him over the handwriting classes so he never learned.
