How many passengers and pets have you hauled in your XJ while wheeling?

I already posted this in pirate4x4 and jeepforum, so if you saw it there just ignore this one :D

I am finally getting my wife half interested in going wheeling/camping with me when I get back from Afghanistan. I have taken my 3 dogs and 2 kids with me to a local spot, but how do I fit the wife in there too? I had my passenger seat removed and that's where I kept the cooler or parts/gear foot locker. I have some ideas floating around in my head on how I can fit everything in, but I'd like to see some of your set ups.... How do you make it all fit?

I can't seem to find any pics when I had the kids along, but here are a couple with my crazy wheeling companions...

Duke is the fatty. He is a Retriever/Lab mutt
Sadie is a Hound mutt.
Levi - He is the insane Shepherd/Dane mutt. He has endless amounts of energy and is a crazy crackhead. He loves to go wherever I go and LOVES wheeling. The other two love going with me places, but aren't that enthused when it gets a bit bumpy. Duke is a big baby, cowers on the floor, and shakes a bit. He's the biggest one and he is SUCH a wuss. Last year I went out twice in one day. All 3 dogs joined me on the 1st trip, but when I went out for round 2 only Levi would come with me. I couldn't get the other two out of the living room. :D

Anyway.... Let me see your setups....

You could go all Beverly Hillbilly and strap your wife in a rocking chair to the roof.

The most I've packed in mine is while wheeling is my 3 kids...6yr old boy, 5yr old boy and 5 yr old girl, left the dogs and wife @home.

Yes, I could go that route, but since it has taken me 2-3 years to get the wife to go wheeling with me I think I'll pass. Actually... the plan after I get my cage is to install a ragtop, so I will be losing the roof rack and not putting anything up there.

Your wife isn't crazy about going either? I'm working on my wife. Hopefully when I get back from Afghanistan she'll stay true to her word and go with me.

I'm bored.... tossing up some more pics, so you can actually SEE the HEEP.
pic 1 - right after I got the new tires
pic 2 - if you ride along you have to help clean it up

that's understandable... when we go camping/wheeling I'm thinking I need to make sure we have another vehicle along in case the wife and kids don't want to join me on the trails. Then they can go off and do whatever and the dogs and I will go have fun.

When I was in highschool I loaded me and 7 friends into the XJ to hit a short trail down to the party spot on the lake, that was fun.... LOL

These days, nothing crazy, and we only take one dog per vehicle, depending on the passengers, or the situation, the dog usually gets the back seat to himself.

No ideas on how to get more room but your jeep is the first I've seen with the same paint combination as mine

Yeah? How about a pic or three? I don't care if it's off topic.

My paint job? That's some highly customized stuff right there. Came up with it myself :D 100% high tech rattle can too.
