i was just wondering bc im 23 and ive had almost 30 vehicles and i own five now. do i have a commitment issue? just curious lol

I keep stuff forever, and drive a lot of miles...been driving 32 years now....every vehicle I've had, I've rebuilt or replaced the motor in for anther go-round. Haven't done the F250 with 220k -- yet -- looking at options.

Daily drivers over the last 32 years, only 4....'72 Grand Prix (400cid), '85 GMC 1500 (305 then 350), '90 Grand Wagoneer (360) , '99 F250 (5.4)...all used when I got them, took all of them well over 200k miles.

Even my toys...My CJ is the first Jeep I ever had, others have come and gone...bought it in '86, still running it.

15, have 3 now.....

Im 21...

Ive owned...

84 XJ
89 XJ
97 ZJ
01 WJ
03 Silverado
92 Accord
78 K30
99 XJ
97 XJ
99 S10

Some of these vehicles I bought and drove for a while, and sold them for a profit, actual vehicles I have actually kept more than a year is 89 XJ, 01 WJ, 03 Silverado, and one of the 97 XJ's

11 Vehicles, I have 1 now.

I'm 18 and have had 3, a 81 Trans Am (sold), 93 Accord (sold, now totaled) and now my 86 4Runner(DD), that and a 89 K5(project).

Wow y'all are funny.
I'm 34. owned 5 cars, and that's only b/c 2 of them have been totaled and replaced, and I have separate "toy" and DDs.

I put >100k on my first car (XJ), 8 years, before it was totaled.
Wife and I put >110k on her car over 9 years before getting rid of it.
Had my 4Runner almost 8 years now....

I have no intention of buying another car within the next 5 years.

I think im past too many to count. the bad thing is i dont know how many I own now. I bet you understand my user name now. lol

Just sat down and counted them up. I'm 28 and have had 18 that I've had tags on and driven. Probably another 6-10 that never made it past the project stage. Actually less than I thought once I added them up. Currently own 4 that are driven and only 1 project car. Plus I've had 2 motorcycles, a jetski, 2 dirtbikes and 2 four wheelers but all these are gone now.

I just turned 25...in highschool, I had 23 73-79 Ford trucks, I mainly bought semi-beaters, that needed a little tune up, drive them a few weeks then sell them for a couple hundred more than what I paid. I've had a 97 Cadillac, a 94 T-Bird, I've had 5 79-91 Broncos, plus the 3 that are in the sig and the 2011 Mustang.

So grand total, 34, but only 5 of them I owned for longer 2-3 months.

Damn you people are crazy.

Wow so in that time, how much $$ did you pay the state for titles etc?

Quite a bit, probably only pocketed 20-25% of the 'profits' after crossing the t's and dotting the i's and purchase of new or salvaged parts. But then there were also title-less/unregistered vehicles that were never intended for street use (ie a mud toy that cracked a head, I got a spare on the shelf, replace, and sell to be a farm truck or something). In the end, it kept me out of trouble, it was a fun hobby and was enough extra coin to keep a high schooler happy.

every time my parents give me a hard time for being on number 6 and 7 at age 23 I will show them this thread... Thanks guys! haha

I'm 24, starting with oldest:

87 Dodge Omni
91 Cherokee (blue), it caught fire a few years later, ran for another year, pulled motor+crushed
98 Neon (black, wrecked, sold)
91 YJ Wrangler, had 91's motor in it awhile, sold after 2 years
89 Cherokee (red), got Cherokee's motor, got motor pulled, parted, crushed, was bought for tires for wrangler.
91 XJ (blue), got the motor from the wrangler from the 91 XJ Mbrooks has it
94 XJ (red), bought for motor, parted, scrapped
93 XJ (green), deciding wasn't worth fixing, parted, stripped, scrapped
03 Camry (dead now, had 1 year)
97 Neon (redid head gasket, sold a month later, at a loss to pay for the next XJ)
88 XJ (blue, then black/silver) drove 2 weeks, put in 93/94 harness and green's 93 motor, drove for 6 mo and wrecked it and did some trading and got
88 XJ (camo) <-- with the trans from the other 88 and the motor from 93 XJ

So I'm on my 13th vehicle.. Maybe it will last...
