How much do you think my TJ weighs?

So I am wondering how much my TJ weighs. It is a 98 with a 4.0, AX15, D30/8.8 with 33" bias TSLs. It has a smittybuilt front bumper (no winch right now but that is in the works) and a home made rear bumper, it also has smittybuilt body armor from the doors back. Pics below. For discussion purposes let's say the half doors and soft top are on.

3450

What do I win?

Nothing to win unfortunately.

You really don't have to care, I am just trying to figure out if I am legal with my truck/trailer/jeep with a 9k tag.

I know curb weight is anywhere from 3-4k pounds so I was just asking if anyone had a similar rig that they weighed

in clemmons, down hampton road there is a freight company who has its own scales. if you pull up on the scales after hours you can see in the window and read the digital read out.

That is really good to know, I didn't think there were any scales around here, thanks!

My standard cab shortbed WT Silverado and 16' Kraftsman car trailer weigh 6800 lbs so depending on your truck and trailer ....... nevermind no you aren't legal

I am thinking 13k too since that is a sweet spot, just like 9k as far as the fees go

Yeah

My 250 weighs 7500 by its lonesome.

I'd guess 4280, but I really have no idea. My TJ on 1 tons, 38's with H1 wheels, warn 8274, stock bumpers was 5300lbs.

Your tire/wheel combo was good for 1000#.... what did you expect? :flipoff2:

My tow rig is a 96 ext cab, long bed V10 dodge, which I am guessing is 6500 pounds, that seen about right?

If so then total weight I am looking at 12k pounds easy with the combo.

Never thought about it, but darn near it! 167lbs each, 835lbs total for 5 haha!

I have a 99 with 35's same front bumper with winch (syn line). Last I remember going across the scales was 4450 with me in it at 210 and a quarter tank.

Seems fairly close. Everything I can find online lists the curb weight between 5200lbs (5.9 gas) and 5900lbs (5.9 diesel), so 5500ish plus fuel/stuff/passengers is gonna be between 6000-6500 depending on how much of a prepper you are, and how many friends you have.

My buddy has a TJ Rubicon on 38s, 4" lift, tube fenders, and a bunch of other stuff....it's a heavy bitch! It's 4400+.

My RCLB, Silverado is 5600 and my K30 is 6000. I would have NEVER guessed the Silverado was quite that hefty or that the K30 wasn't heavier. Best thing to do is go weigh the TJ and know for sure! I'd rock 13k and feel just fine about it. That's what I've got on my K30.

I ran my old TJ across a set of scales one time and came in just under 4k. I had 33's, full doors, full spare, half top, 8k winch, tube bumper front, homemade bumper and tire carrier rear, gear, and myself in it.

Thanks guys, I am going to estimate 4k for the jeep and 6500 for the truck, and trailer about 1500 to 2k and go with a 13k tag

The 'man' will let you know how much everything weighs :smokin:

Just for info, my 2001 Ram quad cab short bed CTD with manual tranny weighed 6,760 lbs on the certified scale here at my work. That was without anybody in it, and the bed empty.
