Im looking at these, and wondering how hard they are to find around here?

What about prices on these things? Do they run high being mostly imported?

Ive also read varying things on gas milage, from really low to a suprising 23-25 mpg...any idea about that?

I come across them every so often, usually the seller thinks the damn thing is gold plated no matter how big of a piece of shit it really is. Parts can be hard to find, lots of second hand stuff around if you look or know the right people. Their prices run higher because they are Rovers, and were never brought over to the US in any kind of numbers. I've heard conflicting mpg with the diesels, but I believe they tend to be in the 18-21mpg range, and will run on damn near anything resembling a combustible fluid.

how much do they run usually? Im looking at putting my jeep in for a trade plus cash on one...they seem pretty reliable, no matter what condition they are in

we picked up our '71 series IIA 5 years ago for about 9000. It was brought over from sweden with 60000 original miles. Got it in charleston sc, and the guy had 3 others that ranged from 8000 to 11000.
