I have a 89 chevy 1500 ifs truck, 6.2 diesel and 700r4 Trans. I'm wanting to swap the 700 for a sm465, needing to know what left hand t case will bolt up ect. Thanks

By left hand case, do you mean passenger side drop transfer case? If so an NP205 from a Chevy will work.

Left is driver's side. Being an 89, it's a driver drop front IFS
Pretty sure they used the 465 up until the mid 90s. Probably grab a 241 with the correct input spline count.

I wasn't sure which perspective he was using. You never know.

In that case, I have a 241J I would sell cheap. 23 spline input.

And clutch pedal, maybe steering column, flywheel, master/slave cylinder, etc.
It'll be a ton of work. An nv4500 would make it a little more worth it.

^^^
Itd be cheaper and smarter to just sell it and find a 5 speed truck for sale.

But what fun would that be?
Git Er Done
