having trouble wiring a 1994 chevy s-10 alternator to a 1988 toyota pick up with a 22re. anyone with any info or have done this please reply.

GM 1 wire is the way to go on this. Trail gear has a bracket that you can buy or you can build your own if you're handy.

Here's a like to one on Amazon.http://www.amazon.com/Chrome-Chevrolet-Wire-Alternator-1965-1985/dp/B0044FKQVA

You can probably find them anywhere, just not sure what they came on. You will probably have to cut the case down a bit to get it to line up with the belt correctly but it's much smaller than the OEM Toyota one and higher output too. It has one wire. Go directly to battery and it's hooked up. You will have to install a volt or amp gauge as your idiot light will not work any more. You will have to take out the IC regulator and jump one of the plugs to get the light to go out. I'll have to take a pic of which one tomorrow.
