Looks like they used black door edge molding to clean it up on the edge. Use masking tape to lay out the cut line. I would cut with my small air saw. You could use a small reciprocating saw or sawzall if you got skills and the right blade. I cut a bunch of aluminum and random materials of all sorts with Sawzalls at work constantly. A hand sander could be used to dial in the cut line or a file if your in a pinch. A 18-14 tooth pitch is what I would choose. If your worried about the cut practice a bit short of what your shooting for. If you use a sawzall float the blade and don't try to burry it against the guide you'll be able to control the cut and steer it better without beating the fender to death. Also you can cut the spine down on the blade to make it thinner to make curved cuts better. Clamp it in a vise and trim as needed with a cut off rock to get the kind of blade profile you want. Cut from the top to unless you want possible blade tracks across your metal fenders. Post some picks of the final product!
