How to go about joining a 4x4 club..

I'm normally not much of a joiner(sp?). However, I have talked to one or two people randomly about joining a club and with all the post that JC has posted recently, it really left me thinking. What do you have to do to join a club. Get beat in? Sexed in? Hazing? Money? Hoes? Whats the scoop?:beer:
 
You're righ in the perfect area for the Carolina Trailblazers. I think Dylan, among others on here, can get you set up

Some clubs ask that you join them for a ride and/or meeting or two to get to know them.
 
The club I'm forming has 2 rules.

1) Be a member of SFWDA
2) Ride with the club

No drama or BS either. I'd just like to get a good group of people from WNC to start riding together. You can check the club board in my sig.
 
I'd advise to anyone is to check out several clubs. Attend a club meeting and an event or 2 as a guest to see if you like the club. Every club has a different feel or vibe and the right one for you may not be the closest. I'm a member of CTB even though they are based out of the western part of the state. That said I go to many other clubs events as I know and generally like everyone and most clubs also co-mingle at larger events anyway...

Most larger clubs have a club membership in united and/or SFWDA, so your dues may have some $ in there for that...
 
Another comment... I would personally suggest joining one of the SFWDA participating clubs... and then join others as desired.

I am a member of CTB (they are my SFWDA/UFWDA connection) then outside of that I am a member of CORE (got to send them a check), TLCA, Olde North State Cruisers, those are all $ clubs.

The "little" clubs are great for local buddies, but the bigger clubs offer alot more for your buck! Well organized rides, charities, etc.

Based on your location CTB is your best bet, CORE would be 2nd and then CNC guys. This is solely on location / not any other criteria. (Big Dixie Bogger guys are in that neck of woods too..not sure if they are a SFWDA crew or not!?)

Drugs and alchohol=bad....but the sex part..hmmm i say what happens in tent/camper/woods/bathroom/shower/trail rig with your significant other/others is noones business except yours:bounce2:

I just ended up starting my own club.

There weren't any right in my area, but I noticed many wheelers were.
So far, it's been mostly internet based, but it will be warmer soon.
