first and foremost get rid of the block in the front! That's a problem waiting to happen. Then after that yes do crossover
x3, that is more like a disaster waiting to happen, a little axle wrap can make them dangerous. You should also have 4" of lift on an 85 Toyota for hi-steer to clear properly and an IFS steer box. I see Toyota lift springs for sale all the time, so good used ones should be easy to find. Buying new ones will save you money in the long run compared to that set up you have now.

3" springs for sale on this forum.

x4 Do not run blocks in the front.

10 4 blocks be gone I'm trying to get 6" of lift so I'm gonna look for some lift springs but does anyone have pics on the hi steer I got a ifs box jus need to figure out what all else I need n how the ifs box needs to be mocked up

Okay I found some 4" front lift springs but my question is now if I add the add a leafs to them will it give me that 6"s I want or do I have to do something else to get the other 2"s

You can add leafs to front to help give you the lift that your after, but adding leafs or add a leafs will change your spring rate and most the time make the ride alot stiffer in the long run hurt flex. When I started out I thought the way to do it was lift the truck sky high and it looked cool, but keep it low. If your plans are to use the truck and play with it a low center of gravity is a must. Small lift and cutting a little bit of sheet metal will go a long way. 4" and a little cutting will allow 35s easy on a Toyota

Also getting a good name spring helps alot with spring wrap and sag

Hi, I would stay with the 4" lift. 6", like was said above, will give you too high a center of gravity. I have a 5" lift (Marlin lift from when he still sold them) on my 85 Toyota pickup and it will clear 37's but I wish I had a 4" lift. Sawzall and a grinder are your friends.

Alright sounds good thanks for the help guys I really appreciate it at least I didn't have to learn the hard way with the blocks haha I already took em out n my 4" springs r otw I will install them n then see if I need the high steer kit I found a good one n the bracket to put the ifs steering box on n it looks pretty simple so now to wait for the ups man hahah

if you do much highway driving i would probly just fix them where i could use pins from somewhere like Tractor Supply and just pull the pins from the swaybars and wheel it then put them in to drive it home, it will drive better on the road with them

You've already got the springs, but just for info, get the spring pack with the largest number of leaves in it. They will be thinner, & ride & twist, SO much better than thick leaves.
Example= 4" lift with 5 leaves vs. 4" lift with 7-9 leaves.
