BOM is partial at best, mostly been ground off, maybe partially welded over. I will try to get a better look tomorow, the sun was going down.

Here is what i know
-One axle is ~31.25", the other ~37.375".
-30 Spline
-Hubs look to be about 1.625" inner bore, larger than my other 60.
-Hubs have funky smooth look, unlike other 60s i have messed with.
-Leaf Sprung, perches are ~49" O.C.
-Studs rather than bolts for the axles
-~65" WMS width
-Has some kind of tone ring for ABS i assume, but looks differnt than the one on my dodge?

I would appreciate any ideas on what you think it may have come from. I dont think i will be able to get a good BOM from it.

Kinda looks like the one SPOA87YJ has on his rig. I know it had studs and I think the hub is smooth like that. IIRC it was from a Ford, check with him.

OK, i will check with Austin. The guy i bought it from wasnt positive, but was leaning towards a ford as well.

Just got your PM Adam. Looks very similar to mine. Mine is from a 74/75 Dodge W250. It also has studs instead of bolts with conical washers for the axle flange. Smooth hubs as well.

However, I have no ABS garbage on my diff. I'd go measure shafts for you but they're in Blowing Rock sitting on a trailer. Holler at me if you need anything else man!

OK, thanks for the info. Mine came with shafts pulled, but no conical washers, and yeah, it appears to be newer than that.

Anyone know of a link to some kind of chart where i can see what length shafts came in stock axles?? I have tried some of the big shaft makers, but cant find anything like that.

I got nothing for you off the top of my head....I have a set of spare shafts I can measure for you but in all seriousness I haven't even checked to see if they fit my axle yet.

So I'm guessing that won't help you at all I wouldn't think :shaking:?

Well, it couldn't hurt, but dont go out of your way for it. I am not in a huge hurry to get this info, just figured i would throw what i knew out there and see if someone knew. Thanks for the help.

There should be a BOM number on the shafts. It is a Ford. The ABS sensor in the top is just about identical to the ones on 8.8's and the flanges are late Ford. I would say it's a 90's van rear but it's just a guess.

Don't know what's up with the hub studs but that's what I was thinking. Especially since the spindle bore is big (assuming it hasn't been bored out). ABS means newer than older... The perches look like van's as well...and they're out towards the backing plate flange pretty close like van springs.
Is the bottom smooth to the cover or is there a 'lip' on it where the cover mounts?

I know the older dodge has the big bore spendals but ABS kinda throws that out. Who cares...get some 35 spline yukon shaft and cut to fit. :bounce2:

Yeah, looks like i will probably be doing the cut to fit thing, but i don't necessarily like the look of such long splines. I would also like to grab another set of 30 spline stockers if i could so i can wheel in the meantime, thats the main reason i was hoping to find out what it came from.

I will look at the bottom today after work, i don't recall if it is smooth or not.

Thanks guys.

Alright Brett, Bob, y'all sound pretty informed about this. That is good, it shouldn't be impossible to find a van like that in the junkyard to get shafts from.

Pull A Part has about 15 Ford vans with 60 rears right now. ~$16 a shaft. ~$80 for a complete rear axle, drum to drum.
