how to identify 208 vs. 203

I got a T-case along time ago from somewhere/ someone and am not sure if it is 208 or 203. There is a tag but the 3 or 8 is about wore off. Are there any obvious identifying characteristics that one can point out?

The 208 is all aluminum. The 203 has a cast iron gearbox with an aluminum chain housing and aluminum diff box bolted to the back of it.

A 203 has an iron case. A 208 has an aluminum case.

One can be picked up and your nuts stay in place, the other one will drop one nut lower for sure... you figure it out.

oh and one is cast iron and the other one is aluminum....

the 203 is massive and will cause an instant hernia if looked at the wrong way. i played catch with my nephew this past weekend with a 208.
