My buddy recently bought a leaf sprung xj from some kids who had no idea what to do with it, it was in pretty shitty shape but he has put alot of work into it, replaced damaged body parts, painted it, fixing bad wiring and any other problems.
Big problem:
He wants to know how much overall lift is on the jeep, is there a method to measure?
center of dif to top of fender or center dif to bumper...
Please give me a general idea, the jeep fits 38's with plenty of clearance and room to flex.

Hub to fender is a common place to measure lift. Compare your measurement to a stock vehicle. If the fenders have been trimmed, measure from hub to another common point.

k, anyone got a stock older model xj in the area I can attack with the tape measure?

my girl friend drives a stock new model. what all do you need measured? difference from axle shafts to body, height the tcase mount, height to side of body?.. ill get her tire size too

@gboro xj

The guy with the white XJ from your work brought his jeep up to the shop for a waterpump and we measured off his jeep. Based on that information my buddy (shop owner) has right around 14 inches of lift.
