how to test injectors

i was checkin stuff out on my truck today. well i had it running and could hear a slight ticking noise and it sounds like its coming from the injectors i felt the injector lines and noticed 1 and 6 were pulsing a little and the rest didn do it. are my injectors goin bad?

yea their all bad go spend $2600 for some good injectors are you sure its not valve noise? i think its the season for fuel to turn to crap mines been making all sorts of freaky noises hear lately i have even noticed smoke at idle when the weather is right go dig around on cummins forum i have noticed a few odd injector post. and try fuel conditoner it cant hurt it!

i wont be payin to fix it anyways that why i bought a warranty i wanna get everything fixed befor it goes out

i forgot you had that!!!!! get um replaced while its free if thats the case their not cheap.

I agree. May be in need of a valve adjustment or may just be a cummins noise.

yeah get on cumminsforum man i have learned TONS about my truck even though mine has been in the shop for almost 6 months now and gone through 3 different mechanics and now after replacing ALOT we are back to the injectors......again.....lol
