I'm sure this question has be asked a hundred times.

But anyways here goes the PO of my TJ welded a new lower control arm bracket on my current D30 and I believe they put in it on in the wrong location. In order to get my caster right i have to have one lower control arm almost 3/4 inch longer then the other.

I could cut the bracket off and reweld it but I would rather just replace the axle to make sure I fix the problem. I want to go with a HP. What years have the correct axle. Is it the grand cherokee or the regular cherokee? That has the axle I need. I don't care about the axle ratio becasue I am regearing to 4.88 this month.

I have a line on a 91 XJ D30 non disco that I can get for $65 bucks complete rotor to rotor. My shafts and main bearings are good in my TJ axle. Would it make as good of axle as a 96-99 if I put my TJ shafts and main bearings in the 91 axle?

Basically I just want to use the 91 housing everytning else will be my TJ parts. this will keep me from having to remember what year the axle is when it comes time to put new parts on it.

That would work fine, everything will be a direct swap.
