Hi all, new guy here. I mainly hang out on Yotatech but found you'll the other day while searching for a place to buy tube in the Eastern NC area.

I have found a lot of places around Charolett that can supply the 1.5" and 1.75" .120 HREW tube I am looking for, but nobody in the Havelock, Morehead, New bern, Greenville area.

Stock Car Steel has the best price in NC, but they are 5 hours away.

Anyone know of anyone on the coast that may be able to help me out?

Thanks

Stock car steel has them all beat right now. And it would still be a 5 hour drive for one of those vendors or pay shipping.

Thanks though

um, you are talking to the wrong people. I have purchased thousands and thousands of $$$ of tube and EVERY time Ryerson is the cheapest and EVERY time Stock Car Steel is the most expensive.

All of those places have delivery INCLUDED in the price. Don't waste your time or gas going to pick it up

EMJ quoted $3.35ft for 1.75/.120 hrew. Delivered
BMG out of stock for a month
Golf stream can't get it
Metal USA is over $3.50ft and charge freight
Marmon keystone is over $3.50ft
Stock car steel 1.75"/.120 $2.34ft, 1.5"/120 $1.71ft
Oneal 1.75"/.120 can't get it
Ryerson 1.75" $3.98ft
Waiting on a call back from PM Tube. As with stock car I'll have to pick it up.

All the large companies charge frieght it is figured into the quote per foot.

When I find a cost I like I'll order as much as I can and pick it up. I figure that will save about $200.00 over he frieght cost.

It seems places just are not carrying the 1.75" hrew/erw. The cost of DOM has come down so much the they don't want to stock both. But DOM is still twice the cost of welded tube.

Thanks for your help though.

Right now it looks like stock car steel is it.

I'll post up when and were I get it from.

Later
