So I've got to replace the hub bearing on the driver's side of my '92 K1500 Suburban. What all is involved with this? Do I have to remove the knuckle for anything? It seems simple enough...remove the wheel/tire, unbolt the caliper, remove the rotor, take the hub nut & washer off, and remove the 3 hub retaining bolts. I just want to do it myself and save money, but I want it done right. TIA

go to advance auto and buy a manual. it will tell you step by step and some photos. it also gives you the correct torque specs. thats what i did. now i know how to do it myself. easier than i thought.

I've got a Chiltons manual and it mentions using a puller..."Using a puller, force the outer end of the drive axle out of the hub. Remove the hub/bearing assembly."
I shouldn't have to remove the axle should I? Do yall think a dead blow hammer will work for seperating the axle from the hub?"

got it done! no problems! I would delete this thread...but it ain't showing up as an option right now

good deal. easier than you thought.
