I know most who live down there try to ride out the storms, but if you decided to leave and need a place to stay I can put up 2-3 in my spare bedroom.

If you have an RV I can park you in the street out front and get you power and water.

I'm in North Raleigh (Wake Forest) Cut across Rt98 off Rt64 from the east. Or Rt70 into Raleigh then north.

Just hate to see anyone not have any options or end up sitting in a motel all weekend.

Call anytime, 919-606-1152/919-570-0619

Very good of you, Mike! My family in Kitty Hawk is staying up here with my parents, and all of my wife's family that had congregated at the beach this week are staying at my place since they all got evacuated.

Most locals will ride it out, unless they are very close to the ocean, or the immediate main land. My folks are 30 min outside of Beaufort on Adams creek, and they are going to ride it out.

No worries, didn't figure anyone would need a place, but figured I would offer none the less... I know when I was starting off, having to put up in a motel for a weekend would have severely dented my budget.

Old jeep parts gone, I'm cleaning up new jeep parts now :) But I probably would offer for them to mow the lawn :)

I have a buddy 150 yds from the sound in Hatteras gonna ride this one out. Will have play by play until the phone drops.

Was just talking to a girl I know, she and her family are heading down to the beach today, they didn't seem worried and said worst case they will head back. Will be interesting to hear what they have to say/show me when they get back lol

for some reasone there are a bunch from lincolnton going and dont think they need to reschedule.

Talked to my folks this am, and things are back to normal there. They had 1-2 swell, and 40 mph winds. which means they have a lot of crap in their yard now.

2.5-3 ft of water in parts of Hatteras Village this morning around 7-9. Already started going back down to 4-6".
