I have a yj box thats been rebuilt and tapped for assist along with the lines and the ram. I got this from a guy who was planning on runnin spring over on his yj with the 44044 leafs.

My question is I want to use the ram and lines on my F100 and get the f100 box rebuilt and tapped. I will be swappin in a dana 60 with 4" of lift. Can I just use the same lines and ram from the kit i have?

Thanks :driver:

The most you would need is maybe some different length lines. Don't pay someone to tap that box, you can do it yourself. Does it need to be rebuilt? I wouldn't fool with that if it feels tight and doesn't leak. Search on pirate or maybe fullsizebronco.com for a write up of that year box. I found a write up for my box on the net and disassembled it and tapped it for hydro assist. It was my first time taking a box apart so I was not an expert.

For assist? A 1.5"x8" single-end should do the trick.

Most anything you're going to find at Northern is going to be 2"x8". They're fine for strictly off-pavement use, but you'll have trouble pushing enough fluid for street use.

I use a 2" X 8" single end ram from Tractor Supply. No issues on the road at all. Only issues I have is Really quick turns in the woods. just have to allow time to do what I need. Keep in mind, mine is a trailer queen, and only see's maybe 150 miles a year on the hwy.

I am also running a standard Tractor Supply, Northern Tool 2"x8" ram. I bought all the lines and fittings at Northern Tool. It drives fine on the street, but I drilled out the orifice on the high pressure fitting of the pump for more flow. I had read about one guy who almost crashed into a pole when pulling out of a gas station because it was so slow before doing the flow mod. Mine is fast and no problem at all on the street.
