I just had my powerglide built for my buggy and the guy recomended me to run hydraulic fluid instead of ATF. He has a couple drag cars and that is what he runs in them and he said that it really keeps the heat down. Any suggestions as to if this will work?

works very well been running at the track and street for years it will tighten your converter up a bit but no big deal for a buggy

Could i do this on a 42re that is suppose to take atf+4 to keep heat down??? Just curious+

What type of hydraulic fluid? There quite a few diff ones, J38, basic tractor fluid?

I run it in my Jeep, 350 turbo. Also run it in my Full Hydro steering. No issues at all. My builder also recomended it. it is AW something, sorry I don't remember the number part, but can find out.

So now im looking into this my k5 heats up pretty good and i need a solution to stop the heat. UPNOVER do you drive the jeep on road?
