Getting the C30 ready for new hydraulic lines and I don't want to drop it off with the guy without some type of safety prop & I'll need one when I paint the bed/frame. I could build one, but I'd like to see how much they are in case its worth just saving time & buying one; I just can't seem to find one for a 2" ram with a 36" stroke. I'd like to get one that's a cross between the two below...I want a flange like the red one, but I want the hitch pin style like the yellow one. Anybody know where to look for one, somewhere that would make one or somewhere that could roll/bend some plate into a U?

are you wanting to raise it all the way up and prop it there, or just a foot or so?

What about just getting a piece of pipe and slicing a section out to fit around the shaft?

I'm 6'6", so I'd like to prop it all the way up....my knees and back aren't what they used to be!

I've thought of that and its my plan B (cut the pipe in half & weld flatbar to it to make a U).

In all seriousness, you could easily make something or have a fab shop make one, probably about the same price.

I would recommend a prop that goes between the bed and the frame so the cylinders can be removed if needed. The one on my truck is a piece of 2x2" 1/4" wall square tubing. It came with the kit, and is pinned on to the bed with a slick spring loaded 1/4 turn cam style release.

Just cut a piece of 2x2 angle and place it over the rod and worm clamp it to keep it from kicking out.

That's like plan F...using lumber doesn't exactly give me a warm fuzzy feeling!

I'm thinking I'll have to make one...just not sure when. I like a single prop on the cylinder so its only 1 thing to keep track of and figured I'd pull the cylinder from the ground if I ever needed to, but having 2 could make life easier.

Just cut a piece of 2x2 angle and place it over the rod and worm clamp it to keep it from kicking out.
I like the simplicity of this, but I like the peace of mind of having a U so it can't fall off while you put in a hitch pin.
