hypertech programmers

just bought a hypertech e-con for my V10 excursion and the damn thing wont even turn on anyone ever ran into this? i can plug it into my laptop and install it on my excursion but i know thats not how its sopposed to work. im going to send it back to summit. wondering if i should get the max energy or the power programmer III ?

Most Likely a Bad Cig. Lighter fuse or another blown fuse!

I would start there!

yep, if it will not power up, check the cig fuse there is a pin in the ALDL that is hot just for powering scan tools and diag equipment ( and programmers) usually fuses of the cig lighter circut, occasionally an aux circut.

Check your fuses.

If you have another OBD2 vehcile, plug it into that ( DO NOT TURN ON VEHCILE) just to see if the unit powers up. It's possible you have issue with the programmer.

ok well this programmer sucks anyway its goin back . ill check out the fuses though
