I’m Breaking in to N.C.

I’m leaving tomorrow morning from Louisiana and heading towards N.C. My usual route is all the way across I-20 to I-95 then up to St Paul and then back over to Raeford. I’m seeing a lot of I-95 closures and I assume that as the rain continues it will be making its way south in the rivers and continue flooding (more closures). I was thinking of breaking off I-20 in Atlanta and cutting up to Charlotte then across from there to Aberdeen/ Southern Pines area. Any better ideas? I need to be in SP for a house closing Wednesday morning.

Here’s where 95 is closed that might be a problem for you. Looks like there’s a detour to keep you from having to go the Charlotte route. The Fayetteville area got a decent hit from the storm. There’s a lot of the area without power and dealing with flooding. I wish I could help you navigate the area better, but I’m in SC with my family at the moment.

Looking at dot maps help but aren’t 100%. Noticing some closures to high water aren’t removed as fast when it recedes.
