I am looking for something part time. I am getting ready to enter my last semester of college where I will graduate in December with a degree in Business Management/Information Technology. I just need a change...and more money. I was just wondering if anyone here had any openings or knew of anyone with some openings in the triad? I am looking for something office related.

Please let me know,
Cory

Check the job thread on here....Haven't seen a whole lot in your field, but right now any job is a good job unless you want to stay in school longer and get another degree, which I know many people who have done that.

I wasn't going to say anything cause i didnt wanna be a jerk, but then i saw that you have been here since 2007.

there is a sticky already about this topic.

for someone with a degree in Information Technology, not being able to navigate a forum to find the correct place to post this isnt the best way to start out looking for a job.

how much money are you looking for? they just raised minumum wage, so if you were maing $5.15 then $7.25 ought to plenty more money.

You "just need a change" screams "I'm am a fickle employ and wont be around for the long haul". You are graduating from college with a degree and are looking to better yourself would have been much better.

Office related is pretty general. you willing to clean offices?

Oh, and i would avoid using the phrase "cackalacky" on applications.

Now that im done being an ass, i'll be helpful.

that's where this should of been posted. it's had 23,000 views so i would say it gets checked pretty often.

Sorry to be such a dick. I know this is a pretty informal forum but nothing about that post says "i'm hirable". just trying to help.

Here are the facts.

The CherokeeKid works full time at Harris Teeter AND goes to college full time! He has been doing this since he was in high school! He still lives with his folks but gets NO financial help from them. His schooling and Cherokee are on his dime. Granted he is young and a little wet behind the ears but his track record with work and school speaks for itself, IMO. We all have our faults and just like me, Cory isn't perfect, but he's a good kid, trying to learn about life and 4x4s and trying to make it on his own. And also just like BigRed whose posts sometimes seem a little harsh, when you meet him face to face, he's really a nice guy :)

That said, I do agree with BigRed that a bit more professionalism might be in order and I too have never cared for the Cackalacky term :)

yeah, i didnt really start out with the intent of being so mean in that post, just got on a roll i guess. :shaking:

 Good luck with the job hunt Cherokee kid.

My bad guys. I thought there was a job thread on here..but i didn't search. Thanks for the kind words John. I would never use the words cackalacky on an appilication. I never really even thought it was offensive in any way.

it's not offensive and fine to use on here. just not professional when looking for a job.

Unless your name is rickey...i got a feelin his application probably said that!

For Ricky to work some where... he shows them the bogger tattoo... if they know what it is HE will work for them

:fuck-you:

Wonder who would win a a fight.

Hit the temp agencies and mention the computer skills. they might have something for ya, never know.

Go to grad school if you can figure out how to afford it.
