Back up a bit. I had surgery, total knee replacement last Wednesday. GOt to come home on Friday.

I decided to go to The Flats for the Toy run. I was good, I sat in my chair. I got up twice in the five or so hours I was there. Once to look at the new tires and home made wheels of a good friend, and the 2nd time to receive some chickens someone brought to me.

My brothers and sisters from Rock Corps 4X4, and from the Big Dixie Boggers, as well as friends from beyond, came over, checked on me, gave me hugs, many handshakes, well wishes and great conversation.

I had friends to go and get me an ice bag to lay on my knee. I had friends who walked half way across the property, just to get me some Heartburn meds.

My lady friend and her son sat with me the whole time, having to listen to the stories, and tech talk, and did everything they could to make me comfortable.

I will say, a man has no idea how well off he is, until he is down, and his friends show up.
Thank you all. No matter how exhausted I was when I left, I had no regrets what so ever about going out when I knew I really should have stayed home.

Thanks to all that came over, and thanks to all who showed up for the event to help us raise toys for the kids.

Don't surprise me that you'd go out...I think I remember seeing you at the 4 wheel parts Raleigh grand opening with a freshly repaired and stitched up blood pumper.:) Glad you're still hard headed as ever!
