I have found a 1985 Chevrolet K30 4x4 crew cab. thi struck has a 454/t400/205. it has 117000 original miles. a/c still works. it has a 15k warn on the front in a custom bumper/mount. gooseneck ball in the bed. class 5 hitch on the frame with a pintle hook setup and a 1-7/8"/2"/2-5/16" combo insert. body is in decent shape with normal wear and tear for a 24 year old rig. of course it has a 14ff/d60 axle combo. drives good and runs good. any particular problems/issues i should look for?

needed something big enough to pull my project vehicles to the shop. shouldn't have any problem.
for the price i am getting this for 5mpg is not a problem.

normal chevy stuff, can be exaggerated by a hard life.

steering box frame area.
Rear springs front hanger frame areas.
check around the cross member for frame tweaks

No OD... 5 MPG will get old!

Nowhere near as old as new truck payments i promise! If i had to do all over again thats what i would have!

Any idea what it is geared? I would say find a gearvendors od unit and roll with it! Sounds like a kick ass ride.

will try to post pics today.

not to get off topic but holy crap the gearvendors od unit costs a pretty penny brand new.. does anyone know where to find any of them either used or a little cheaper than $2700?

Nice score on the old iron. Now yank the gas burner out and swap in an older Cummins oil burner. There is a member on this board that has a truck set up that way.
