Shawn, I don't like change. I was resistant to the new version of the forum. After getting used to it, I think it is the best forum format of all the forums I'm on!! I like the interactive layout, but on a side note still don't get the 'points' thing.

Thank you for all you guys do for us as a fairly small community for a meager 5 bucks a year!!! Honestly I don't know what all you do, but from what I've seen you guys do, it is a LOT!

I like the forum format, I can adapt to a lot of things that I have to. Shawn and Trailhugger do a lot that we take for granted I'm sure!

I use my phone so much that I have no idea how to navigate the site once I'm on a computer. I left face book cause of all the crap it was doing. I appreciate the work put in and love the site, I just prefer the old style. But I can keep using tapatalk on my phone and get the basics. If I get a laptop I'm sure ill grow to love the layout.

Points are tied to the user titles ladder. Basically, you can set up events that earn a user "trophies"... post 10 times, get 10 likes, etc. That earns points, and the points add up to certain thresholds where "special" things could happen. Maybe you get a special user title under your name, maybe you get access to a special forum, etc.

I set up some trophies that change the user title, but a lot of folks have them overridden with custom titles anyway.

Careful Shawn, Broncosbybart wants something LOL such a suck up! LOL
Seriously, when ya'll changed to this format, I hated it. Only because I had to figure out how to navigate it. Once I figured it out, I had no issues other than because I was a mod I got, and still get some folks asking me how to do this or that.
Now, if you changed it back, I would be in the same boat.

I agree...I never had an issue with the change, but figured it would take some getting used to, and didn't figure the new format would make the site any better. But good God...now I suggest this format to every single one of the forums I have any sort of pull with. Hands down my favorite site to visit as far as navigation and format is concerned.

Like the Super Garage? Where there is nothing but full instructions on how to fix and solve every problem that exists presented by naked women and no discussion of politics at all?

Yeah, and you guys don't even see how much better the back/admin side of things is.

We spent about a year trying to decide which way we were going with the software. It was going to be a big change for everyone, whether we moved to vB4, IPB, XenForo, or one of a variety of different 'free' solutions. It wasn't a decision we made lightly, but in the end, I couldn't be happier with it.

If only we could get Carolina Shooters to switch.... or hell, at least install a better search engine than what they have.

I love the new format. Keep up the good work!
