My Blazer runs again. All 2.8L of fury.
This thing is my first car, got it back in 1995. I parked it 6 years ago because the rust was so bad it was unsafe (body/cab mounts) and I didn't have a welder or know how to weld very well. 5 years ago the fuel pump went out in it, so I've been pushing it around my driveway/yard/storage ever since. Finally decided it was time to do some work on it. I pulled the tank, which the squirrels had used to store their acorns since I forgot to put the gas cap back on it, cleaned the hell out of it, sanded and repainted it, then replaced all the rubber lines which were eaten away with Viton lines. Blew out the old crap and fired it up. Runs like a fucking CHAMP. Seriously, after 5 years the damn thing starts up perfectly and idles smooth as glass.
I had planned on a V8 swap, but I may just keep this little motor and see how long she'll last!
So happy, I'm grinning ear to ear. I absolutely LOVE this little truck for some reason. Lot of good memories here!
