well on Monday I went and got a SC driver's license and plates for the '90...then on Thursday it all but self destructs. You know how a tank sounds when the tracks are on pavement? ...yeah:shaking:

any ideas?

I'm definitely thinking t-case...I'll let you know more once I get it jacked up off the ground:popcorn:

Ok, so a small noise started a few months back...

and I haven't wheeled it since the ECI back in June. So I'm driving in town the other day and the ticking/knocking gets considerably worse and the vibration increases (sounds like a military tank going down the road). So I drove it home, put it on jackstands this afternoon, and bring it up to about 40 mph and hear NO NOISE AT ALL. I talked with Casey about it and he seems to think that it's in the NP229. The truck moves forward and reverse fine, so I can't believe it's in the TC727...but I haven't pulled the inspection cover yet

and TIA:beer:

If you need a hand holla, I have a semi light week, Id be up for some wrenching if ya need it ::beer::

thanks Ron...it's up on jackstands for a while until I can get back east and pull the 208 from my '81...possibly looking to upgrade from the 229:beer:
