I let a thief in my house

If you take away the racism thing, you are left with only a language barrier. I'd have the super bring those guys back (one at a time) grab them by the ear, & lead them to the place where the money was taken from. Watch closely for the body language that closely resembles a dog being led back to the place where it crapped in the house. When the tail goes between the legs, you'll have your man. Of course the super might just let you short pay instead.

so what's the word on this? anything else happen?

nope, the owner or soem manager is supposed to do a quality walk thru, not sure when that will happen. I'm not expecting them to do anything. The job is done and it looks good, just this minor issue with one of their workers.

What you do, when they are all arorund, say real loud "that bastard in the green shoes took it, I know it. And Im gonna cut his nuts off"
WHen they all look down...you will have eliminated the language barrier...

The owner came out and did his quality walkthru today while I was at work. No mention of my call to the crew leader last week. As he was leaving, he asked if he could use us a reference. Wife says she was very happy with the work, but we were pretty turned off by the missing $20. I guess the owner guy did a lot of talking, basically said his theory was I must have miscounted. Wife said no way, reminded him I counted Sunday night then again on Monday night, then 20 short on Tuesday night. He said a few more words without saying anything worhtwhile, then he left. Like I said originally, I wasnt expecting them to do anything, but wouldnt have been surprised if they did. I'll just chalk this one up as a cheap lesson, and be happy I'm not down a few hundred bucks.

Guys, I got up this morning and the box of tic-tacs sitting on my dresser had only 12 tic-tacs in it. I know for a fact that last night there were 14. I know because I counted them three times and because now it sounds different when you shake it. I think maybe some criminals snuck into my house while I was asleep and took them. Now I'm freaking out and I don't know what to do. I mean, I'm fine for the moment. I still have what's left and all... but what if they run out?

Also I'm thinking about leaving some out again as "bait" if anybody wants to help me do a stakeout...

usually you bring on the funny, this time you failed.

Fundamental difference:
When you get tic-tacs from the store, do you count how many are in the container? When you get money from the ATM, do you count how much is there?
