So I'm planning on getting a new knife, because I lost my favorite one and the knife I'm carrying now won't stay sharp more than 8-9weeks.
I need a knife that's going to last, stays sharp, good strong steel, has a pocket clip, easy to open quick.
I'd like to get info on certain steels, what y'all use your knifes for on a daily basis, and how often you have to sharpen them. Pics would be awesome for this too, because the look of my knife has a lot to do with it too lol.
I put my knifes through the test everyday with work, and projects at home.

Btw I'm not looking to spend more than $75 bucks but will go to a $100ish.

I've carried Kershaws for years and love them. I don't sharppen but once or twice a year, probably should do it more often.
Here is what I cary and I use mine everyday as a field tech. One hand spring assist operation is great.

Thanks man, that's really helpful. Definitely liking them and the prices haha. Really like that they keep it made in America!

I've carried these for about 5 years now. I neglect the hell out of it and only sharpen it when I think about it, however, a buddy got a new knife sharpener off the tool truck the other day and it really got it back to a factory edge. I have talked to Benchmade and for 25 bucks, they'll put a new blade in them. For 5 bucks, they'll sharpen it and send it back to you! That's part of their Life Sharp program. I've never had a problem with the lock letting the blade close either, a big plus to me. I've almost lost a finger before from a crappy blade lock.

Thanks man, that's what I got anyways. Couldn't pass up a $40 nice knife lol. I wanted the crkt kiss assisted but didn't really wanna pay for it after I saw the crkt drifter.

[off topic] Did anyone else read the title in a Huey Lewis and the News voice?[/off topic]

I carry a USA made Buck that I got from LewLew (PurpleTJchick) a few years ago. Maybe she knows the item number, but they don't make it any more. Special stainless (295?) Stays sharp forever, get it sharpened every year or tow, use it all the time.

I've got the drifter too. Had it for two years now. My roommate sharpens it every other week if it needs it or not. But you can shave with it when he's done with it. Only problem I've had is the bolt that sets the tension that opens the knife that the blade pivots on losses it's self every once and a while not much but I check
It when I sharpen it and never had a real problem
