Hey guys just bought an 06 wrangler unlimited long wheel base and it was wrecked. It bent both left and right rear axles. The housing seems fine. With it jacked up you can see the wobble in each side. Where is the best place to buy them new or used? Can I buy a complete rear end for the price of the axles? The jeep runs and drives just vibrates at speeds 40 or more. It has bigger tires on so when it rolled all the force was on the axles. I have checked the rims and they are fine. When I replace axles will I need bearings? Thanks Tim

You should be able to order the axles from most any auto parts store, normally I would hit the junkyard but I believe the lj's had a rear 44 so the likely hood of finding that in a yard is slim,if it rolled hard enough to bend the shafts I would look the axle brackets over real good for bends, tears and cracks they dont do well with even moderate wheeling and im sure the crazh is worse than that.you should check with east coast gear supply they handle all of my axle related components, jody treadway of Carolina axle and 4x4 is also another well liked source

Thanks for the reply that is a big help. The jeep rolled and busted the hard top all to pieces and it has 33/12.50/15 tires on it so the tires stuck out. They took the blow i guess because the axle housing and brackets look great. But both sides wobble. Gonna try to ressearch it today and get them coming i am ready to ride. Hoping someone upgraded there jeep to a bigger axle and i can buy a stock one cheaply. Is my jeep classified as a LJ? Are any of the tj axles the same. I know mine does have rear disc brakes. Thanks Tim
