I need major help

I bought a Chevy Colorado and I'm not happy with it at all and I really wanted to take it on and try and turn it into a Trail rider, but I've hit a wall. I can find no one or nothing that can help me reach that goal but I'm not going to give up on this build, if anyone has any information and doesn't mind helping please respond I will be sincerely grateful, It's the four cylinder 2.3L vortec engine, It is a 4 wheel drive and also manual transmission. Just really need some guidance
 
Learn to weld and fabricate and get a good job. Or sell it and buy a cheap jeep xj and take it further than the truck could ever get, stock.
 
The job i have it's a little hard to make the time to do all of that, Military takes most of it, and owe to much on it, but i may just buy a cheap xj and make a toy outta that, thanks for the idea :)
 
Just try to find a SA Yota or get a Jeep. Makin a colorado capable would basically be a money pit. That and there are tons of bolt ons for jeeps and you can pick some up pretty cheap.

x2 Id pick up something else cheap and keep the colorado a stock daily driver, Preferably something straght axle front and rear in whatever make flavor you like
 
Yeah I've bout given up and I've been looking for some jeeps and have found a few pretty cheap with just minor issues but preciate the advice, Thanks
