Ok let me see where to begin. I want seats for my buggy that are 5 point harness compatible, about 33-36" tall, and a budget of $400-$500

First is the hard plastic seats - cheap and durable, but not comfy.

Second is cheap padded racing seats normally found on ebay - this is what I want, but can't find any with crotch strap for 5 point harness.

Third is suspension seats - This is probably what I will be forced to buy. I want a high back seat. Is there any reason to choose something other than Baja Ultra SS?

If I do get those should I get cloth or vynal? The do get wet often and with the plastic seats I had to drill holes so the water would drain when I am wearing a rain suit.

Several folks warned me about the vinyl being 3x hotter than the cloth and the cloth actually "draining" better than vinyl...

Since they've been sitting in the basement waiting to be installed for a year , I still don't know if cloth was the way to go ...

Seats ..... I solved this issue with a pair of seats out of a Blackwater Grizly ( Blackwater's propriatory up armored vehicle ) .... anyways .... there infanitly adjustable, cloth, side support, high back, adjustable head rests, 5 point self adjusting self retracting quarter turn quick release..... and did I say, they are bullet proof up to a 44 magnum .... thats how I solved my seat issue ..... Its only money, spend it today, you might not have it tommarrow ...LOL

I personally prefer the vinyl. I had cloth centers the first time around and once they get rained on the cloth stays wet for hours. I ended up finding a good deal on factory covers and recovering them in all vinyl. With the vinyl you just wipe the water out and you're good to go.

I miss the Corbeaus I had in the YJ, the buggy I have now will only fit those crappy Kirkey's. The next ride will definitely have all vinyl Corbeaus again.

Vinyl Corbeaus. I like the fact i can pressure wash them, and then just Shopvac the water out, and wipe them completely dry in just a matter of minutes.

Either you'll be cooler with cloth, but get soaked

or

You'll be hotter but dry with vinyl.
