I've got a 1957 chevy pickup with a circa 1965-1970 283 v8 in it. This weekend I had it out cleaning it up and the carb took a dump on me. I have never liked that carb and I am looking for an excuse to put a q-jet on it. Here's where I need some help. I've got an old 350 I just took out of my trail rig that has a q-jet on it. Will the intake from my 350 fit my 283? From what I can tell, the SBC intakes work from a 262 all the way to a 400. It "looks" like it would work. What you think?

By quad, you mean an intake that will fit the quadrajet carb? Do tell do tell!!

Will it fit my 283 v8?
 
Yes, spread-bore, should fit, except for the oil fill if it's in the old intake.
 
I'm on it! The oil fill is on my intake... I think. I will look tonight when I get home. Would you consider shipping it? I will get you the $$ for it.
 
Oil fill is not on the intake....no shipping.
