I bought an external hard drive a few months ago and I transfered alot of stuff onto it from my laptop in an effort to keep it from crashing during school. I stupidly zipped and transfered my music folder over to the hard drive.
Since then the hard drive has decided its gonna suck and only work half the time, I'm pretty sure I can get the music back off the drive but does anyone know how to get it back into I-tunes? I can't just reload all the cd's because they have been systematically eaten by my jeep over the years....

Try a google search on "re-creating iTunes library" or "migrating iTunes folder".. something like that. There's a way where you just delete one or 2 data files, and the next time iTunes opens, it will re-build the database.

I did this about a week ago, and used info off one of the iTunes forums to do it.
