I gotta share this.....my 85 years young father that lives alone and has a great life just bought a motor home! My parents divorced 45 years ago but now they date! He brought me up camping and now he's got the bug and last Tuesday purchased a 31ft. 2009 class C with two slide outs! We just got back from Camping World with a trunk full of goodies for it.
On top of this, next Saturday he is flying to D.C. on the Freedom Flight with other Veterans to see the Memorial! You have no idea how proud and happy I am for him! Been working for over a year to get his name on the flight list! He's also the oldest member in the Winston-Salem Moose Lodge! He goes there three times a week and plays poker and one night he shoots Pool! His life is better than mine, as it should be! Just had to share this with every body, thanks.

I need to call may dad.

Thanks for posting this Terry!! Be great if you could bring your dad out to the Veteran's ride next month. Very humbled to see older Vet's, shake their hands, tell them thanks and lend them an ear.

Here's to your Dad and all other Dad's that earned that Title & Respect...

Banks is the man.... I had the honor of loosing my 4 quarters shooting pool at his place. If you think Terry has some stories you should her his dads!! Congrats on suckering him in to the rv.

Wonder if he is friends with Bert Townsend, a moose lodge regular and WWII submariner. he works with me. I always enjoy hearing his stories!

Dang Terry...I know you were talking about him wanting an RV, but I thought it was a pipe dream at his age. I met him a couple of times and he dont seem that old either.
Congrats on the Flight of Honor and good luck on the motor homin' dad!

Thanks guys and gal! Reid ask Bert if he knows Banks Moorefield, AKA lucky!

Terry that is just awesome, that flight and trip will be invaluable to him. I thank him for his service and most definetly he is invited to the veterans day ride!

Jason, I will try and get him down there. It's up to the weather and all. Thanks for the words guys. I'll be at URE the same day of the flight, gotta have him there early at the airport and he doesn't get back till late. We'll be at the DP in between.

Terry, thanks for sharing! I think we should all aim to be like Mr. Moorefield when we grow up!
