I've been really looking forward to taking my kids and wife, if she so desired, to ECORS at The Flats until BOTH of their little league tee ball coaches called, and BOTH of them have their first practices of their first seasons Saturday. One at 11am and the other at 3pm. Gah.

Oh well, maybe next time.

Dude, they can practice later. I'd have told the coaches, "sorry, this is too late notice, already have plans".
Priorities, man.

better yet.
Bring the kids, bats, a tee, and several balls.
Moving target practice.
See how well Brad and Hirko Insano do with the occasional ball pounded their way.

that reminds me of last year, the spectators were moving tire/obstacles around in the upper flats last year, every lap was different. Most of the tires were standard squishy ones, no problem when run over. But there was one tractor tire that was rock hard and launched us when I ran it over. Fawking hooligan spectators :flipoff2:

and on a related note, my kids start soccer practice tonight, I'm probably gonna have to scratch the shakedown run and combine it with prerunning tommorrow

When's the first game? They have plenty of time to practice later!

I was all set for coming out to the race then we had a major breakdown at work today. So I'll now be at work all day tomorrow and most of Saturday doing repairs.

I already asked about the "what if I don't come in on Saturday?" scenario, let's just say the answer persuaded me to make sure I was at work on Saturday. This will be the 1st ECORS race in NC that I have missed.
