On the way home from Morganton last night, after midnight, East bound on I-40, Lynda and I were almost to our exit and someone threw a brick sized object off the LR BLVD overpass at exit 125. It hit just in front of our car and struck the diver's side tire/undercarriage. Immediately pulled over and called 911 to report the incident. Didn't notice any visible damage then or today in the daylight except our nerves. We flip=flopped at the next exit and went back to look for the perp/perps...........no luck, but maybe our reporting it will help prevent other occurrences!

Its not too fun is it? Atleast you didnt get this like I did off the forest city exit on Hwy 74...

I have never understood what motivates people to do this.
But then, I am also a fairly sane, rational person...

That really sucks,I'm glad your both okay, and no damage to your vehicle.

Probaly one of the homeless groups that lives in the woods. Parked at Tripps one for dinner and come out there is 2 of them around the fence. Started asking questions and getting closer to me and the GF. Reached inside and made the familar sound of a pistol cocking.

Apparently homeless people are quite familar with that sound.

That sucks - I go under that bridge plenty...
and as for that homeless group, I just read in today's paper that one of them just got arrested for murdering another one, after someone called 911 about someone dragging a body into the woods...

Yep behind Toys R Us. i work at Thomasville off of Tate Blvd where it crosses LR Blvd and we have groups squatting here as well.

wtf, our homeless people are the complete opposite.... they are always cleaning up beer cans, picking up trash, and aside from that they keep to themselves in hopes that nobody invades the village they seem to have set up in the woods on the other side of town...

Thanks for the warning, the wife and I both go through there quite often.

I didn't realize the homeless were that big of a deal in Hickory?

It's because they are at the beach...Hickory just doesn't have the same draw...

furniture perhaps

Homeless People

I live close to the Soup Kitchen, in downtown Hickory, at lunch time when they are passing out free lunches, there will be 40 to 50 people in line, I thinks that alot of homeless people. They litter like crazy, I don't expect them to respect my property, they don't even respect themselves.

Oh Well,
