was at uwharrie today in the bio diesel sami. Very impressive truck. Got to see him go over Kodak rock. Pretty nice guy too. even after long day of hard wheeling (he was there all day) he still took time at the outpost to talk to fans, even though you could tell he was tired as hell.

I kept looking for jessi, unfortunalty...she wasnt there.

ive got some pics of the sami...on my spotters camera. when he gets them uploaded i'll post 'em.

Just missed him, he left for the trail about 10 minutes b4 I pulled in the parking lot.
I did get to see Rich though, does that count as seconds?

The veggie oil Sami was OK, but holy hell that steering box is a total rock magnet.

I liked the way it sounded. Kinda like a 18 wheeler shifting from a dead stop. Wish I could have watched him wheel it, but our K5 group was slow moving.

I saw Rich too, but hes part of the whole buggy clique now and wouldnt speak to a lower DD wheeler like me

I almost got a sammy cause of the veggie oil sammy. Then came to my senses.
I must have missed him. I wouldn't have realized it if I saw him any ways. I didn't know that show was local?

^^They are filmed in Nashville, TN. Was Ian filming or just checking out Uwharrie for maybey future show..What tow rig was he using if anyone knows.

he mentioned some sort of dedication nearby and zuwharrie this weekend, he took the opertunity to come out and check out the ORV. No filming unfortinatly. it would have been cool for URE to get some coverage like that. i hope he saw the 4x4cross signs!!!!

hope he saw the 4x4cross signs!!!!

Def, that way they can do a special on the Z71 Jeep, it finally got an actual paint job Sunday and I put real Z71 stickers on it (Thanks to Greg Slade for those ;) )

I apologize in advance to all those that hoped to get there junk on film since there gonna use all their's on me and the Z71 Jeep :flipoff2:

Ian was doing some filming but he didn't have any crews with him. Kind of a free run weekend for him. As for the tow rig nothing fancy. Just an 02 or so bodystyle F250 crew cab short bed

i pulled up beside him and unloaded as he was loading up, cool dude. he was pulling with a V10 fourdoor ford 250.

Well, my wife was riding with me...

Wha?? Did I miss ya? Sorry man... all the buzzing from the Sammy's had me half deaf..

You were unloading at the outpost when I got there to meet up with the k5 guys. And that tow rig Ian uses looks like the f250 they built on Trucks many years ago.

Sorry I missed ya.. there were so many people buzzing around there, I just really wanted to get on the trails, as we couldn't stay too long. As it was, I had to take the bypass around Kodak our second time through because it would have taken another hour or more if we had to wait in line.

On another note, HOLY HELL the Kodak rock area has changed so much since I was there last time.

Did anyone get a chance to ask Ian about the PITBULL tires he was running?

Did he mention how they performed or say anything like''best damn tires in the world'' or ''they do ok''

I'm looking for general feedback on those tires, so if anyone runs em, let me know.

well, hey sure as hell didnt hinder him! they looked like they hooked up nice on the rocks.

Ian was there for the Zu event. Basically, one of the bigger guys at Zuwharrie (Rawlings) invited him and he accepted. No crews or fanfare, just wanted to wheel. He came to the dedication of the Art Lilley campground on Falls Dam, too. As for the tires, Rawlings was behind Ian in Art's old rig, the Popsicle. You may remember the bright orange coiled Zook, linked and stretched on red label Krawlers. Ian struggled a little to get up Kodak and Budweiser, but made it pretty nicely. Rawlings basically came up the same lines and was up before you had a chance to turn on the camera! Maybe that's not the fairest comparison, but it was funny as hell at the time. Seriously, the Pitbulls seemed to hook up great. Ian's a helluva driver and a nice guy to boot. He put up with a ton of questions, including "Where's Jesse" from countless folks, and was still smiling when he took off Saturday night. I think he thoroughly enjoyed himself, and he did get to go out Saturday night to experience the Uwharrie mud first hand.
