So my wife and I came to visit her parents in Northern New York near the St. Lawrence River for the holidays. It's always cold up her but this took me by surprise. We arrived on Friday with about two inches of snow on the ground from a previous snow storm. The problem is it was only 25 degrees out and it was raining! So as of this morning we have about 3/4 inch of ice on top of the snow with sleet on top of it. It's supposed to keep raining and sleeting until 7:00pm. Luckily we still have power but about 30,000 don't.
Anyway, I figured I would share a few pics.

At the moment it is 70 degrees here. I wouldn't mind some more wintry weather... hate to think I cut and split all that firewood for nothing.

Wish it was a little warmer here! But I would be a little worried if it was 70! Here is a chunk of ice from where I broke through walking outside.

Well it most definitely going to be a white Christmas! It's supposed to be in the teens for a high temperature for the next week.

And people ask me why I left NY. Don't miss the cold at all, heck I even tell the family if they want to see me in the winter months stop by a ny time as for me going north... Not on my own free will. ..lol

Yep that's pretty close. I wish I got up there more often. Snow, ice, or giant mosquitoes.

You definitely got those right! Only place I've ever been that you have to wear long sleeves in the summer to keep the skeeters off!

Im jealous... Would love to have some snow and ice here.

screw that!
we had a Springmas party yesterday. Shorts, tshirts, winter lager and santa hats!
