a few years ago some guy on pirate bought one for 2200 dollars. literally junkyard axle. didn't even come with hubs and had a few other issues. needless to say he got eaten alive on there for a while .

There is a superduty yard here that gets $1500 for axles (front or rear) from the late model trucks. I called them once, and LOLed on the phone when he told the price. Apparently insurance claims dont seem to care.
