I’m headed to Sunset Beach today after work. The causeway to the island was breached around 8PM last night. My in laws are there and will keep us informed on when it’s cleared so we can get to our house

when this happens they bring in front end loaders and get it cleared quickly so I don’t think it’ll be an issue

The cancelled/remoted schools in Charlotte area and it’s clear as a bell this morning.

Sitting ocean front on Holden Beach right now. The house shook a few times and but nothing crazy. The stormed looked worse farther inland on the radar, curious to see how the drive home is tomorrow.

Nothing major our way. Lots of rain last night but no more than a good summer storm. They are predicting 2-4” of rain. Shouldn’t be too bad. Kids’ school already cancelled but ECU is still operating as usual. I have a few students from Morehead City area and they opted to just stay home today.

I don’t think it’s going to be as bad as they say.

Our rain gauge is right at 3”. Started raining about 2 pm and I don’t know when it stopped but I went to bed about midnight. Never got nasty like they said the winds were supposed to pick up over night. Power stayed all night. This morning is crystal clear and 69*!

There are unconfirmed reports of 10" in some parts of SC. we got around 3" here in Camden.

If by down East you mean down here in Florida where I am. My pool has seen about 3” and 2 of that was yesterday and last night.

If it wasn’t for Doppler and weather apps, I’d never have know there was a hurricane.

Now people over on the gulf coast might say differently.

By 5pm Thursday in Greenville, light winds and sun. No more rain or wind.

I don’t expect any river flooding since the storm stayed way east and we don’t have any overly saturated ground and no notable western rains sending flood waters east.

But, the pool last night was up about 4” and cold from the recent rains.

Nope, not your down east, but it's good to know you weren't affected.

Probably got about 4", like they said. It was pooled up in the low spot of my yard like normal, but it's all but soaked in now. Yesterday afternoon and today have been gorgeous and I'm glad the temps got knocked down. It's 79 degrees and feels amazing!

It's also amazing to me how quickly mosquitoes can hatch 🙄 There's a plethora of the little, teeny black bastards out now.

Good thing is, I'd say we're about caught up on rain now. It was getting pretty damn dry around here. Even with as much rain as we got, the only squishy parts of my yard are where there's still a little bit of water pooled up. I'm really glad I mowed everything on Wednesday. I had been having to mow every 3 to 4 days and I'm quite sure this is going to have it growing like a wildfire.

They were nice enough to cancel 2nd shift Wednesday night and 1st shift on Thursday. I, personally, canceled 2nd shift for myself on Thursday and will have a lovely, 6 day weekend to work on this RZR :D

Also...nothing down in my yard that I can't (or won't) mow over 🤣

You needs to get a few free range chickens and build a few bat boxes around the house. We have no mosquitos here and haven’t since we got established here. All the little bastards turn into food.

Ya, friends on Anna Maria had a foot or so of canal water in their basement and at least that much in their pool. Waiting on a new pump.
