I have my eye on a tire wheel combo in Watkins glen, ny. I want them shipped here to Asheville. The guy up there is getting like $700+ for quotes. Anybody know of something that is cheaper?

Freight shipping...if you have somewhere you can receive and he has somewhere that can send. I know UPS used to have locations that would do freight shipping for you...but at the UPS premium. I've also had decent luck with Greyhound shipping. But hopefully you have a loading dock you can use as a destination, and he has one that he can send from and then you're probably talking $150 to ship.

Thanks I'll have to look into that...

I've done Forward Air often. They are nice to deal with. But I used to find my best quotes by using Freightquote.com. They have access to all shippers and they will find the cheapest. Haven't used them in a couple of years though?

Check out uship.com. You post up what you want shipped to where and how much you are looking to spend. Then people bid on the job and you except the bid you like. My room mate does it, i'll see if hes going that way any time soon.

Cool that would be great. As Soon as I get home I'll start looking stuff up...

X2 on uship.com

had a set of dana 60's shippied from indiana to SC for like $240.
hell had my whole jeep shipped to florida when i was working down there from wilmington for $450

I use unishippers.com and their price is even better than uship. I ship axles all across the country and even to california is $200-250.

I'd expect the tires and wheels from NY to NC to be $150 - $200 depending on size and weight.
