if you dont like the answers here

i knew i was good for something. no tech only the funny.
greg- i want in on this if can find someone to write a policy!

hahaha take pictures like in the last house fire pic in post your cool photos.

Think about it my way though:

If you seriously had a friend who had his wired the same way, succesfully mind you, wouldn't you want to try it out if it saved you alot of $$$?

Oh well, you guys are probably right though, I wouldn't want my house burning down especially since all my parts are in that garage :( .

Now I'm off to get robbed by an electritian . . .

Yea yea I know, I'm the kinda guy though If I remotely think I could have or can do something on my own I absolutly, most undefinitly, to the max HATE paying other people to do it. No joke it really ticks me off with a passion, like makes me angry not just upset. But when you're beat you're beat . . .

Hunnh... Surely, wake tech (or your CC back home) has classes. Spend the money on them this spring/summer and you'll definitely get around having to pay someone to do the job.

-- Anything is portable, it's just a matter of effort.

Yea tru, but I don't think a class is worth it, lol. Now if it was a class in Welding . . .

The electritian that looked at ours was my friend austin's who wired his garage for 220 when they had it built (the right way), he came over and looked at ours and gave us a quote of around $500 he said but he wasn't sure because he said he'd have to add another breaker box because we already have two box's full of stuff because of our pool.

My stepfather did mine a few years back. I was just a wire bitch though

I did my own, but I have done many. No not a 'lectrician, but have a good friend who is and has taught me a lot. After doing so many it rubs off. I would gladly come do it but too many projects here. Best advice is if you aren't sure, don't touch it!

yea I'm not gonna mess with it, but it doesn't have to be this weekend, if you feel like you have time later on down the road shoot me a pm. I think were gonna try and get it done before thanksgiving because that's when I'm gonna haul my ish over to my house to start working on it probably. Gotta swap bodies as well unfortunatly mine new body isn't gonna bolt up . . .
Thanks

i hope you don't expect to one day be payed for your knowledge, skill, and expertise in a career of your choosing. if no one elses is worth anything, why is yours?

btw, i don't care what you say... you're ignorant as hell. quit posting crap around here asking for thoughts/opinions and just continue doing whatever you were planning to do in the first place. you obviously hold no value in the responses you get, and i for one get pissed off when i take the time to offer someone some helpful advice from experience and they want to throw it in my face and argue about it.

I never said that, I just said I hate to pay for stuff I think I can do myself, but like I already said, I am getting an electritian now that everyone has told me why it was wrong, no im not throwing it in their faces and doing what I was gonna do anyway.

Hey look at it this way ricky, an electrician is a hell-a-ova lot cheaper than a new house..Keep it in mind ;)

hell i think u should wire it. if it works u can tell us all to screw. if the house burns we can all laugh. its a win win in my book.

oh i forgot that wiring is the easy part. telin your moms she cant cook the turkey in the over on thanksgiving cause you need to weld is gonna be the real mothafuca!

plugs arent cheap just the plug is around 40 bucks breaker should be in the 40 to 70 dollar range depending on what brand and amprage, wire prices have gone through the roof in the last month almost doubled.

the piece of mind youll have that its done right and your family's house isnt going to burn down while your in the garage welding is well worth what ever they charge you.

i wire up all my own stuff and have made cords and plugs and such for friends in our club but then im a electrician by trade.
