After starting the process in July to get a VIN issued for my 37, I finally got a new inspector to work on it less than 2 weeks ago, and tada, today I get a letter in the mail stating I was issued a new VIN.

Now I am throwing out a cry for help.

First I need a bond, then I can get a title, however I need 2 appraisals, so I know how much the bond needs to be for. Of course right now, since there is no VIN I can't drive it anywhere

If anyone that knows a new or used dealership employee that would give a written estimate, on company letterhead, I would be more than happy to compensate them for their time.
Pic for attention, the car in question.

All of them I know are in SC. Owners only. Don't know if that matters.

@1983Bronco knows a few dealers he might could refer someone.
Or maybe @cass92lx50 knows someone to recommend.

I went through this with my 51 Mercury. I used the tax value from the DMV. From there I went to Nationwide Insurance company and purchased the bond from them. The bond is very cheap if I remember correctly. Now if they are insistent on an official appraisal just google auto appraiser in NC and find someone close. They will come to your house and inspect your vehicle. Overall it took me a year and a half to get the final title for my Merc. If you need more assistance IM me your number and I can dig up the appraiser that I've used recently for my 1 of 1 86 Scrambler. Be glad to help you out if I can.

I didn't realize Nationwide did bonds, I will look into that for sure.
