Last year at the URECross I don't remember any IFS rigs.
Would it be crazy to run one (stock), say a 90s Runner?
My imediate thought is "yes it will get destoyed and not get you over anything", but then next thought is... all those desert racers use it, even several entries for thsi year's KOH.

Thoughts?

I ran one. 92 blazer and finished 7th or 8th in a class.

Shannon Campbell's KOH buggy is IFS.........I would think it would be fine.
Toyota IFS is tough as hell, if it's open don't be afraid to beat on it.

There was that fullsize bronco with the TTB front end, all built for speed. I think he flopped it the day before on the lower ledge while prerunning the course.

wasn't there a subaru?

yeah... and IIRC he couldn't make it over the ledge.
That thing was cool (I assume you mean teh cut-up wagon) but had zippo ground clearance.

Oh and shannon Campbell can afford to build it up correctly too. I, however, will lose $1 of food for every $1 spent on this lol. Good thing I'm skinny.

Yea, but if you were fat like the rest of us, you'd have reserves, so you wouldn't have issues not eating.
Then the more weight you lose, the faster you can go.
:D

A buddy of mine has been wheeling the crap of an IFS yota for about 4 years now with a 4" lift and 33's. He has only blown up one diff so far. Should do fine for the URE cross.
