I may be purchasing the Superlift 6" kit for my blazer. I would like to do this install myself but, I don't have any experience with suspension lifts. I have some friends that have offered to help but, they don't have too much experience either. I have replaced my ball joints and cv shafts before so I know how to take it apart. The part I'm worried apart is doing a sound install without tearing a bunch of stuff up. So my question is, What shops around the Raleigh area would you recommend to do this for me if I decide not to? Thanks.

Also, what would be a reasonable price for the install?

if you can do ball joints and CV's you can do an IFS lift. If you run into any problems, give me a PM. My room mate and I have done a few of these and we're in Raleigh.

The superlift chevy IFS kits are a royal pain, to do the lift correctly you are looking at least 15 hours of labor. You have to do a diff drop, upper and lower controll arms get relocated down, Torsion bar drop, Its a crap load of drop brackets. Most shops are going to charge over a grand to install it. If you are looking to pay someone to do it PM me, a have done a few and will do it considerably cheaper

Thanks for the quick replies. I have heard that these lifts can be a pain to install and that's why I was asking. If I have a shop do it than I will have some sort of warranty on the install and don't have to worry about fixing things I may have screwed up doing it myself. Also, I wouldn't mind spending the money from an install to get some new tires.
